In 2 Kings 8:1-6, there is a story of God's perfect timing. This passage tells of a great miracle. It's about a mother who came to the prophet Elisha on behalf of her son who had become ill and died. The story goes onto tell us how Elisha prayed for the mother's son and how the boy miraculously came back to life.
Later, because of a severe famine in the land, this same mother left her home and property and moved to another land so she could survive. Years went by, and when the faine was over, she returned to her home. But when she got there, someone was living in her house and farming her property. So she went to see the king for his help.
The king could have been uninterested or unconcerned, but a man named Gehazi, who once served as the prophet Elisha's right hand man, was now serving the king. At the king's request, Gehazi wold tell him stories about Elisha's miracles.
Verse 5 says that at that very moment while Gehazi was telling the king about Elisha and the miracle of the mother's boy, the mother walked in to talk to the king about her property. If she had walked in a day earlier, it wouldn't have done any good. If she had walked in an hour earlier, still nothing would have happened. She walked in at the perfect moment, at the most impactful time.
When Gehazi saw her coming through the doors, he couldn't believe it. He said, "King, that's the woman I'm talking about, right there! It was her son." The king looked at her and said, " Are you the one?" She said, " Yes, I am." She went on to tell the king about her property dispute. The king looked at his assistant and said, " You make sure she gets her home and property back, plus all the funds that were made off that land while she was gone."
That is proof that when God puts in a good word for you, it's going to be exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond what you could have imagined.
God can create these same types of perfect moments in your life. You won't be one second late. You'll be right on time.
You'll come across your own special moments of God's favor where you'll look back and say, "That had to be the hand of God."
God is not just in control of us, but He's even in control of our enemies. He can cause them to be at the right place at the right time to work for our advantage.
God knows how to get you to the people who have the right opportunities for you. God knows how to connect you with people who will show you favor, people who will use their influence to open new doors for you.
We have a strategic, detailed God. He knows what you need, the people you need, where they need to show up, and when they need to be there, down to the very second.
It's very liberating when you realized God is in control. You don't have to worry; you don't have to try and make things happen. If you will honor God with your life, His divine plan will unfold, and you'll be amazed at what God does. The right breaks will be there. You'll walk into moments of favor.
You may not understand all that God is doing in your life in the moment, but you'll look back and be amazed. You'll be in awe of how God supernaturally changed your situation for the better.
Right now, things may not make sense. The circumstances around you may seem to contradict the promises of God that are deep in your heart. It's in these times, you have to stay faithful to God's Word and what God has spoken to you.
It may be years down the road before you understand it was really the goodness of God at work in your life.
Always give God thanks in every situation, even before the blessing happens.
It takes faith to pray in advance, " God, thank you for doing something big in my life. Thank you for the right opportunities, the right people, the right breakthroughs."
Be confident today that you are not alone. The Creator of the universe is directing your steps. When you go into that business meeting, when you go into the classroom, when you go for the job interview, don't be intimidated. God has already lined up the right people to put in a good word for you.
Remember, God is in control of your life. He has lined up not only the right people for you, but He also lined up the right people for your loved ones who don't know the Lord. God is orchestrating your steps. You don't have to live your life worrying anymore. You don't have to stress about who you're going to meet and how you're going to accomplish your dreams. God has already laid out great people who will come into your life on cue, to promote you, to befriend you, to be there in a time of need.
You need to get ready. You're going to see more divine connections. You will be at the right place at the right time. You'll be experience a new level of living!
Like that mother who walked in when Gehazi was telling story about her to the king, things are going to fall into place for you. You can't make this happen in your own strength. It's ONLY BY the hand of Almighty God.
Get ready for His favor. Get ready for increase.
Today, supernatural opportunities are coming your way; supernatural breakthroughs are in your future; supernatural connections will thrust you to your destiny. You will become everything God has created you to be.
All God asks is that you keep Him first, honor Him and have an attitude of faith and expectancy.
If you do, you'll see God's favor in your life. You'll have everything He desires for you to have and you'll become everything He's created you to be.
